Magic Loop Toe-Up Socks Class Nov 2, 16 and 30
In this class, you will be taught how to make socks using the magic loop method from the toe up. Both socks are made at the same time. You will learn the Turkish cast-on for a seamless toe, a very simple short-row heel method, and Elizabeth Zimmermann's sewn bind off. After completing this course, you will be able to use these three skills for almost any sock design you desire.Must be an Intermediate knitter who is proficient at knitting and purling, increasing and decreasing, casting on and binding off. You will need 100 grams sock yarn, divided into two equal balls or 2 - 50gram skeins; 40" circular needles - size 1, 2, or 3 (look at skein to see needle recommendations); tapestry (yarn) needle; 2 stitch markers; 1 locking stitch marker or safety pin; pattern provided. Class meets November 2, November 16, and November 30, 10am - noon. Maximum of 6 students. Class taught by Diane Jespersen.
