Mask Donations for ChildServe
Who is ChildServe?
ChildServe improves the health and well-being of nearly 4,600 children each year through specialized clinical, home, and community-based programs and services. We are experts in pediatric rehabilitation and care for children and young adults who have a wide variety of developmental delays, disabilities, acquired injuries, and other special healthcare needs.
"If sewers are able, we'd ask that they add the elastic to the masks so they are ready to use (the pattern says to leave it out). We would also welcome sizing down this pattern to create child-sized masks as well." ChildServe will provide the filter mentioned in the pattern for the masks.
Any donations can be dropped off at ChildServe, 5406 Merle Hay Road, Johnston, IA 50035. We are just north of I-80/35. Drop off can occur Monday through Friday during regular business hours at Entrance A. We have visitor restrictions in place, but they will be able to come just inside the front door and drop them off at our screening table. Thank you for your help!"
Off the Rails is also accepting mask donations in a closed tote sitting on the ramp on the south side of our building. Please put masks in a plastic bag and leave them in the tote at your convenience.
One last note, we know that elastic is in high demand and we do not have any at this time. Check stores for hair ties. Thank you for helping in any way that you are able!
