Tunisian Crochet is a fusion between knitting and crochet. It produces a woven-like, squishy, thick fabric. Its a perfect choice for blankets, so you will sometimes hear it referred to as Afghan Crochet. A long hook with a stopper or cable is required (available for purchase) as stitches are kept on the needle while creating rows of fabric. You will learn how to create a foundation row, the Tunisian Simple (Basic) Stitch and how to bind off in this 2-hour class. If time permits, we will start a dishcloth that you will complete on your own with ease. Prerequisite: Experience with knitting or crocheting a plus, but not required. Materials Needed: Tunisian Crochet Hook (also called Afghan hook) Size K for worsted weight yarn or two sizes larger than your yarn label recommends. Can be a straight hook or a hook with a cable. Either must have stopper on end. And 1 skein cotton yarn in worsted (medium) weight. Class meets March 15, 1:00pm-2:30pm. Maximum of 6 students. Class taught by Tasha Wells.
