Join us on Thursday May 8th from 10am-4pm for the Quilted Sneaker Class using the Jerry Sneaker Pattern from UhOh Creations! This is a fun class for those interested in expanding their skills past quilting. This class requires hand sewing, so be mindful when signing up that your hands may get sore during class. After sign up, you will be called regarding shoe size and sole color. Shoe sizes are in cm, so you will need to know what size you wear. In most cases, people size up one size to be sure they will fit properly. If you are completely unsure of what size you will wear, we would encourage you to try on a pair of Birkenstocks or something similar as their size is in cm. (Hannah wears a 39 in Birkenstock shoes but uses a size 40 for quilted shoe insoles.) Due to the nature of this class, there will be NO REFUND given if you need to cancel. We will also email you a copy of the pattern. Please have this printed before you come to class. If needed, we can print the pattern for you for $0.25 per page. You will also need to print the corresponding shoe size cutout using the link in the pattern. We can also print these for you if needed for the same $0.25 per page. (Please note- if we print anything for you, especially the pattern pieces for the shoes, they need to be picked up before the day of class.) Material requirements (not provided during the class): 1/3 yard exterior fabric, 1/3 yard lining fabric, 1/3 yard foam interfacing such as soft and stable or bosal in-r-foam. Please bring your sewing machine as we will be using it to quilt our panels in class. If you would like to use one of our floor model machines, please let us know so we can have one ready for you. Materials provided for the class: one set of insoles ordered to be your size, 1 sewing awl with black or white thread, black or nickel grommets, 3/16 hole punch and 3/16 grommet setter. You will get to take your sewing awl, hole punch and grommet setter home with you to make your next pair of shoes all on your own!
